Excursion to Venice from Rimini

Italian architects and artists, thinkers and merchants have given us a world filled with a colorful variety of forms – elegant palaces along the Grand Canal, houses crowded together along city streets and alleys, numerous paintings preserved in museums. Venice is not called the living room of Europe for nothing. This is a real paradise for tourists, they are everywhere – visiting numerous monuments, fountains, entertained by gondola rides, wandering around the world-famous squares, sitting in cafes. The history of Venice’s past centuries is very subtly conveyed in the monuments. It’s like time has stopped here. At every step there are stone witnesses of XII-XIV centuries: Doge’s Palace, Palazzo Calergi, Pesaro; churches – Santa Maria Glorisa dei Frari, Santa Maria dei Miracoli, Santa Giovanni, Old and New Procuratorates, Bridge of Sighs.
